VIDEO: GLENN GOAD'S HALL OF FAME INDUCTION

Glenn Goad was one of the top football players at Bridgewater College during the 1970s.

Playing at linebacker, Goad started every game during his four-years with the Eagles and finished his playing career with six interceptions, five touchdowns and six blocked punts.

Goad served as a team captain and in 1973 was named the Eagles’ most valuable player. He was named to the All-Mason-Dixon team and the All-Virginia Collegiate Athletic Association team in 1972 and 1973. 

Following graduation from Bridgewater, Goad coached football and tennis at William Byrd High School. He has worked as an insurance agent for more than 30 years.

Goad has also been active in his church where he has held numerous positions, including deacon, youth director and mission leader. He also has been an active member of Gideons International for more than 20 years.

In recognition of his outstanding football career, Glenn Goad is worthy of induction into the Bridgewater College Athletic Hall of Fame.
