The Bridgewater College Strength and Conditioning weight room is 3600 square feet with 10 half racks for Olympic lifting and all primary lifts. Each rack is self-contained and houses a variety of bars including an Olympic bar, power bar, football bar, safety squat bar, camber bar attachments, and a trap bar. Every rack is also equipped with a pair of 5/8th chain and 3/4th chain, full band sets, a suspension trainer, and a stability ball. Finally, every rack has a designated drop-zone for use with Olympic lifts.
The room is also equipped with four lat. pulldown/low cable row machines, five glute ham developers, and four reverse hyper machines. A dumbbell section with benches and two full set of dumbbells ranging from 5 lbs to 120 lbs can be utilized for accessory work. A designated rehab area equipped with an Athletic Training Platform, leg extension machine, and leg curl machine finishes out the room. Additional recovery modalities available include 25 yoga mat and blocks, 20 foam rollers, Supple Leopard supplies, and a Hyper Volt.
Three TV's are set-up to display lifting programs, video playback of lifts, and yoga sessions. The training experience is enhanced by a full Sonos Sound System which surrounds the room. Individual athletic progression is monitored through the use of Tendo units, Vertecs, and jump mats. The Bridgewater College Strength and Conditioning weight room is used by all 24 varsity sports and accommodates more than 600 student-athletes.
