Spencer played four years of softball for the Eagles.  The first three years, the sport was a club team.  During her senior year, the program joined the ODAC and the team posted an 18-9 overall record.

On the volleyball court, Spencer was part of some of the most successful teams in the program's history.  During her junior season, the Eagles were undefeated in the ODAC during the regular season.  The Eagles made their first-ever appearance in the NCAA tournament and were ranked No. 1 in the South Region.  The 1988 team finished with a 32-2 record, one of the top finishes in the program's history.  As a senior, Spencer was named to the All-ODAC first team and helped lead the Eagles to the ODAC title and another trip to the NCAA tournament.  She currently ranks No. 6 on the Eagles' all-time assist list.

Spencer also excelled on the basketball court.  During her four years, the Eagles posted an overall record of 73-35.  During her senior season, she helped lead the Eagles to a 23-5 record and the ODAC title.  Spencer ranks No. 2 all-time in steals and assists in the Bridgewater record book.

Following graduation, Spencer began a career in education and became one of the top high school coaches in Virginia.  Her basketball team at Altavista High School won the State Group A title in 2004.  She has led three teams to the state final four and won three region and five district titles.  She was named State Coach of the Year in 2004.  She has been recognized as the Regional Coach of the year twice and the District Coach of the Year five times.
