VIDEO: BOB BAKER HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY
Robert E. (Bob) Baker played two sports at Bridgewater College, excelling on the football field. He played baseball two years and was a four-year starter on offense and defense for the Eagles' football team.
Bob was named to the All Mason-Dixon Conference First Team as a senior and was an Honorable Mention All-State Small College pick as both a junior and senior. He was voted as the team's Most Valuable Player as an offensive and defensive back as a junior and was a team tri-captain as a senior.
Bob also was involved in numerous college activities. He was a member of the Glee Club and Touring Choir for four years and the Men's Quartet for three years. As a senior, he was a member of the student council and also served as class treasurer.
Following graduation, Bob was employed for 10 years by the Bedford School District in Pennsylvania. He coached varsity football and basketball for 10 years and varsity track for two years.
Bob, owner and president of Ag-Pak Inc. for 15 years, has been a nutrition consultant for 25 years. He also helped found New Covenant Christian School in 1984. His three daughters are graduates of the school.
Bob also is active in church activities, serving in various capacities including lay minister, Sunday school teacher and youth advisor.
For his outstanding accomplishments as a student-athlete at Bridgewater, his continued success as an educator and businessman and his leadership in community and church activities, Robert E. (Bob) Baker is an obvious choice for the Bridgewater College Athletic Hall of Fame.
