Morris was a four-year letter-winner in field hockey, basketball and tennis and served as a team captain in each sport. She received the Eagles outstanding player award in field hockey and basketball and served on the athletic council for two years.

Morris was also very active in other college activities. She was president of the Women's Athletic Association as a senior and also participated in Student Senate, Spanish Club, French Club and Physical Education Club.

Following her career at Bridgewater, Morris earned her master's in physical education from Indiana University in 1970.
