Courtney Hartman left a legacy as part of the Bridgewater College women’s track & field team that can still be seen throughout the record books.

Hartman left her name littered across the Bridgewater program record books with top marks in the 55-meter and 60-meters dashes, 55-meter and 60-meter hurdles, pentathlon, 200-meter dash and as part of the 4x400 meter relay team in indoor track. In outdoor track & field, she had the top mark in the 100m, 200m, 100-meter hurdles, heptathlon and as part of the 4x100 meter relay team. To this day, her indoor pentathlon and heptathlon scores still sit atop the record books with all her other marks still in the top 5 in each event after reigning on top for nearly 10 years each.

An NCAA qualifier in three different years, Hartman earned the first national championship in team history by winning the heptathlon in 2010, an event where she also got All-America honors a season prior. Also during the 2010 campaign, Hartman was named the ODAC Indoor Championships Athlete of the Meet, ODAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year, USTFCCCA South/Southeast Region Field Athlete of the Year and earned All-American laurels in the indoor pentathlon.

In total, Hartman collected three All-American honors to go along with 15 All-ODAC honors in her career.

In recognition of her performances at a national and the ODAC level, Courtney Hartman is worthy of induction into the Bridgewater College Athletic Hall of Fame.
