SALEM, Va. - Bridgewater men's track & field recorded record-breaking performances and gold medals at the Indoor ODAC Championships hosted by Roanoke at the Cregger Center.
The conference championships rounded out Sunday in the two-day meet.
In the team score standings of 16 scored events, the men took third place with 78 points. Lynchburg led the way with 213 points and Washington & Lee took second with 91 points.
Jesus Flores highlighted the day with a gold medal finish in the shot put, setting an impressive personal best mark of 15.31m. Mike Smith was not too far behind, also setting a personal best of 15.17m and securing silver.
Also in the field, Thomas Hennessy placed fourth in the pole vault with an impressive new personal best of 4.01m.
On the track, Joe Amlacher placed fifth in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles running a time of 8.67 seconds and setting a new personal best.
Bridgewater took on the 4x400 relay to round out the day (Amlacher, Lauchnor Lamb, Walker Knicely, Gabe Wylie) to clock a time of 3:26.85.

Day 1
Ian Browne started the action off for the men with a bronze medal finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.65m earning a personal best.
Mike Smith captured a gold medal in the weight throw with a 17.02m mark. Jesus Flores followed closely behind with a silver medal marking a 15.57m and a big personal best.
Trey Birchett earned a silver medal in the high jump with a personal best leap of 1.98m.
Joe Amlacher and Tyler Johnson later qualified for the finals in the 60-meter hurdles.
Bridgewater closed out the first day of competition with a fourth-place finish in the distance medley relay with a time of 11:04.90.
The men sit at second place in the team score with 43 points. Lynchburg leads with 51 points and Washington & Lee stands in third with 33 points, respectively.
Day 2
