INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Mike Smith of the Bridgewater College track and field team has qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships in Geneva, Ohio.

The former All-American makes a return trip to the national stage in the hammer throw. for the second-straight season. Smith's 59.76m toss at the Hill City Twilight Qualifier ranked him No. 14 in the country to qualify for the championships and is his career best to this point. 

This is Smith's second trip to the outdoor championships in as many seasons and will be his fourth appearance on the national stage in total after his two appearances at the indoor championships in 2023 and 2024. 

The hammer throw is scheduled to take place on the final day of the championships, May 24, at 1:45 p.m.
