BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater men's track & field concludes the 30th annual Doc Jopson Invitational in record-breaking style on Saturday.
In the 4x100 Cy Alderman, Ian Browne, Kyle Galloway, and Gabe Wylie won the event with a strong time of 42.83. Jesus Flores highlighted the day in he won the event title in the shot put with an impressive mark of 15.37m, making that a personal best and second-best all-time in program history.
Bennett Cupps then took second with a time of 4:02.50 in the 1500m.
Joe Amlacher advanced to the finals in the 110-meter hurdles prelims with a time of 15.41. Amlacher rounded out finals with a fifth-place finish. Amlacher also took a third-place result in the high jump with a big mark of 1.81m. Mason Lawhorne followed closely behind Amlacher in the high jump, closing out with a 1.76m mark and fourth place.
Gabe Wylie took a second-place finish in the 400 meters with a strong time of 50.62.
Mike Smith placed second in the hammer throw with a mark of 53.28m. Smith later competed in the shot put and earned a fourth-place result with a mark of 14.12m.

Day 1
Men
Mike Smith took first in the discus throw with a mark of 43.95m, Bryce Hoffman finished fifth with a mark of 38.02m.
Gabe Miller put up a strong time in the 10,000m with a huge personal best of 33:15.53. That mark improved his eighth-fastest time all-time in program history.
Day 2
