WASHINGTON - Bridgewater men's track & field put up strong performances at the Cardinal Classic hosted by Catholic Saturday.
The Eagles saw two finishers place first in their event along with solid marks across the board.
Jesus Flores led Bridgewater to a first-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 13.10m. Flores followed that up with a personal best mark in the weight throw (15.26m), making that the ninth-fastest mark on the top-10 all-time list in school history.
Antonio Harris also displayed a solid performance throwing 14.96m, ranking him 10th-best all-time.
Trey Birchett was Bridgewater's second winner as Birchett leaped over the bar at 1.90m mark in the high jump. Also, in the event,
Joe Amlacher placed third (1.85m).
The Eagles then took third in the distance medley relay with Ryder Rose, Evan Cook, Aidan Pentel, and Chris Walsh going 11:42.68.Â
