HARRISONBURG, Va. - Bridgewater men's track & field took fourth in the final team score at the ODAC Championships at EMU Track & Field Complex Saturday.
The men finished with 83 total points in 20 scored events. Lynchburg ran away with the title putting up 273 points. Washington & Lee placed second with 113 points and Roanoke took third with 94 points, respectively.
For the Eagles, Joe Amlacher cruised on by in the 110-meter hurdles with a leading time of 14.99 (personal best). Amlacher currently holds the fifth fastest time ever in program history. Â
Mike Smith and Joe Flynn took fourth and fifth in the discus as Smith put up a mark of 40.62m and Flynn posted 40.38m.Â
Trey Birchett threw a fifth-place result in the javelin with a mark of 43.81m.Â
The Eagles next head to the Lynchburg Twilight Qualifier.

Day 1Â

The men finished day one in second place in the team score with 44.5 points as they chase Lynchburg in first place with 83.5 points through six events of 20 total.Â
Jesus Flores and Mike Smith took first and second in the shot put for the first event of the day as Flores put up a solid mark of 14.74m and Smith threw a mark of 14.69m. Smith continued his strong day throwing a first-place result in the hammer throw with a huge mark of 56.70m (eight meters further than second place result). Joe Flynn also impressed in the hammer putting up a fifth-place mark of 41.34m.Â
Lauchnor Lamb had a big outing in the long jump exploding past his personal best for a mark of 6.80m and earning bronze. Â
Joe Amlacher lit a spark on the track in the 110-meter hurdles with a strong preliminary time of 14.74 to advance to the finals with the leading time. Â
Kyle Galloway also advanced to the finals squeezing in for qualification in the 100m dash. Â
Gabriel Miller rounded out the first day scoring in the 10,000m for a personal best time of 32:33.2. That time marks the third-fastest finish in the event in program history.Â
