HARRISONBURG, Va. - Bridgewater men's track & field took on the EMU Invite putting up competitive marks throughout the meet for the first EMU track event at the new facility Friday.
The men collected three individual title wins at the all-day meet along with multiple broken records.
Joe Amlacher broke a personal best in the 110m hurdles with a leading time of 15.08 which marks the fifth-fastest time in program history.
Trey Birchett also broke a personal best to take second place with a time of 16.09.
Bennett Cupps had a strong finish in the 1500m taking second individually and running a time of 4:01.86.
Gabriel Miller finished shortly after for a fourth-place finish and a personal best time of 4:16.13. Then,
Ian Browne finished the 100m dash with a personal best time of 11.21 for fourth place, respectively.
Later on, Aidan Pentel broke his personal best in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 10:30.14, placing fourth individually. Ethan Duncan also nailed a personal best, competing in the 5,000m with a second-place result of 16:27.91.
In the field, Walker Knicely led the way in the pole vault with a huge personal best mark of 4.31m which is third-best all-time in program history. Mike Smith showcased another strong outing with a second-place result in the hammer throw (55.57m). Jesus Flores also had another strong performance this season with a personal best of 47.08m, good for third place in the hammer. In the discus, Smith led the way with a mark of 41.65m.
Antonio Harris and McKinley Goodbar took second and third in the shot put as Harris threw a final mark of 12.87m and Goodbar went a personal best of 12.31m. Rounding out the day, Lauchnor Lamb had a strong mark in the long jump with a second-place result of 6.38m.
The Eagles next head to Randolph on April 18-19 at the Wildcat Invite.
