GREENWOOD, Ind. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization announced Tuesday afternoon, two Bridgewater baseball athletes, Lucas Bauer and Chandler Valbak, to Academic All-District. 

Both Bauer and Valbak impressed in the classroom and on the field. The two student-athletes surpassed the 3.5 GPA requirement along with participating in more than 90% of competition in the season for eligibility. 

Bauer boasted a 3.95 GPA from the spring semester while taking center field in 39 of the 43 total games played. Bauer also totaled 36 runs scored, 35 hits, and 16 runs batted in. 

The first baseman also shined in the classroom and on the field. Valbak finished the spring with a 3.76 GPA while playing a major impact all season on the field and at the plate. The .323 season batting average hitter competed in 39 games of 43 total games played including racking up 53 hits, 33 runs batted in, and four homers.
