FERRUM, Va. - The Virginia Sports Information Directors organization (VaSID) announced Jaden Alsberry to women's basketball All-State Second Team Monday afternoon.
The Strasburg, Va., native was among the best in the ODAC conference and the south region in her fifth season posting a career-best 12.5 points per game and crossing the 40-blocks and 40-steals plateau in the same season for only the second time in her career.
Alsberry ranked second in the ODAC, shooting from the floor at a 48.3% clip and was third in the league averaging 1.5 blocks per game. Her name is also spread throughout the BC record book as she ranks third all-time in rebounds (848) and holds a share of third in career blocks (181). Alsberry holds the program record for the most rebounds in a single game with 26 in a win over Guilford last season in the ODAC Tournament and sits 16th on the all-time scoring list with 1,140 points to her credit.
Alsberry was also selected to All-Region Third Team as well as All-ODAC First Team this past season.
VaSID exists to promote the accomplishments of the student-athletes of all Virginia institutions while supporting the sports information professionals at each institution.
