SALEM, Va. - Bridgewater women's track & field put up a strong first day of results at the ODAC Indoor Championships at Cregger Center Saturday.
Four athletes secured medals in competition on the first day along with a first-place qualification to finals (scheduled for tomorrow March 2).Â
Brianna Morgan recorded a bronze finish in the weight throw setting a new personal best mark of 15.51m. Abby Mikolay followed up with a fifth-place result with a throw of 14.93m.
Taylor Myers secured a bronze medal while also setting a personal best time on the track with a time of 17:53.03. Later, Jade Buckles and Summer Wallace medaled in the long jump earning a silver medal and a bronze medal with 5.33m and 5.26m marks. Olivia Crigger also scored in the event logging a personal best mark of 5.25m.
Buckles rounded her day off by qualifying for the 60-meter dash in the prelims. Adalia Coleman and Wallace qualified for finals (schedule for tomorrow March 2). Crigger transitioned to the track after long jump and qualified for finals in the 60-meter hurdles. Olivia Bates also qualified in the event (scheduled for tomorrow March 2).

Bridgewater finished the first day of competition off with a fourth-place result in the distance medley relay (Megan Wimmer, Destiny Joseph, Paige Hiserman, Regan Robinson) clocking a time of 13:14.04.Â
The women sit at second place in the team score with 44 points. Washington & Lee currently lead with 51.75 points and Lynchburg follows behind Bridgewater in third with 38 points, respectively.Â
