FOREST, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's lacrosse team was selected seventh in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference preseason poll that was released Wednesday afternoon.
The Eagles recorded a 5-12 record last season with a 3-7 record in conference play, good for ninth in the ODAC.
Bridgewater's leading scorer, Luke Wendler, is set to return for his senior campaign. Wendler tallied 27 goals and 10 assists, totaling 37 points.
Killian Krapfl looks to lead the Eagles faceoff unit again this season. The junior led the team with 280 reps at the faceoff stripe, amassing a .454 success rate.
Nico Marsicano, CJ McKnight, and Liam Santilli were a few of the team's leaders on the defensive end last season. All three caused at least 15 turnovers last season.
Zach Guthrie-Pimpinella is expected to take on a bigger role this season between the pipes. In his junior season, Pimpinella appeared in seven matchups and received the starting nod in one. Of his 26 saves last season, his season best of 13 in a single game came against Roanoke.
Of the eight players BC had start in every contest last season, all but one are set to return this season.
Bridgewater starts their 2026 season in Nashville, Tn., against Illinois Tech on Friday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m.
