FOREST, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced Friday afternoon seven Bridgewater College women's track & field athletes to All-ODAC selection teams from the outdoor season.
Jade Buckles took the conference championship field by storm earning All-ODAC First Team and garnering ODAC Track Athlete of the Meet honors. Buckles finished first in the 100-meter dash for a personal best time of 12.27 seconds. She also took the gold medal in the 200, sprinting to a 25.27 time.
Also on the track, Taylor Myers secured All-ODAC Second Team honors, placing second in the 1500m with a time of 4:50.55. Myers came away with ODAC Rookie of the Year recognition after posting top times in the conference throughout the season including a second-best time overall in the 10,000m previously set at Doc Jopson Invitational. Summer Wallace earned a spot on the All-ODAC Third Team, taking bronze in the 200m with a time of 25.35. Wallace also placed third in the long jump, marking at 5.33m.
In the relays, Adalia Coleman was part of the 4x100 team with Olivia Bates, Jade Buckles, and Summer Wallace taking a second-place time of 47.48. Coleman earned a spot on the All-ODAC Second Team.
In the field events, Abby Mikolay stood atop the leaderboard in discus, receiving All-ODAC First Team with a gold medal result of 44.89m (a personal best). Mikolay also was given a bronze medal in the shot put throwing 11.81m.
Both Olivia's, Olivia Bates and Olivia Crigger took home All-ODAC selections. Bates earned All-ODAC Second Team, taking second in triple jump (personal best with mark of 11.35m) and Crigger secured a spot on All-ODAC Third Team for third place in the triple jump (mark of 11.30m).
