HARRISONBURG, Va. - Bridgewater women's track & field wrapped up the ODAC Championships with a third-place finish Saturday at EMU Track and Field Complex.
The women scored 116 total points in the final team score of 20 scored events. Washington & Lee claimed the title with 206 points and Lynchburg took second with 165 points.
To start off the day in record-breaking fashion on the track, in the 4x100 relay; Olivia Bates, Jade Buckles, Summer Wallace, and Adalia Coleman ran an impressive time of 47.48 to take silver. That time shattered the school record and became the new season best.Â
Jade Buckles claimed the event title in the 100m with a blazing time of 12.27. That time marked a personal best along with being the fourth-fastest time ever in program history. Buckles also won the 200m with a strong time of 25.27. Fellow sprinter Summer Wallace ran a bronze medal finish in the 200 with a time of 25.35. Taylor Myers then also finished with a strong time of 4:50.55 in the 1500m to place second. Myers also scored in the 800 and 5,000.Â
In the field, Olivia Bates and Olivia Crigger took silver and bronze medals in the triple jump as Bates exploded for a personal best of 11.35m. That mark ranks her fifth-best all-time at Bridgewater. Crigger also put up a solid mark of 11.30m.Â
Abby Mikolay led the way in the discus posting a meet record of 44.89m. With that mark, Mikolay holds the 13th best mark nationally and improved her second-best mark ever in school history. Â
The Eagles next point to the Lynchburg Qualifier on the schedule.

At ODAC Championships Day 1Â
WomenÂ
The women finished in third place in the team score after day one with 28 points. Washington & Lee leads the way through six events of 20 total with 72 points and Lynchburg holds second with 49 points.Â
Summer Wallace took a bronze medal in the long jump with a mark of 5.33m. Wallace also competed well in the high jump, tied for fifth with fellow teammate Maddie Watson as they both posted a mark of 1.52m.Â
Abby Mikolay earned a bronze medal in the shot put going up against season bests and personal bests all around her in the field. Mikolay threw 11.81m. Mikolay also took a fourth-place effort in the hammer throw with a mark of 42.78m.Â
Both Olivia Crigger and Olivia Bates advanced to the finals in the 100-meter hurdles to start out the track events. Â
Jade Buckles took on the 100m dash for the first track event competing in for the day turning in a preliminary second-place finish to advance to the finals. Joining her with an automatic qualification to the finals was Wallace. Â
