HARRISONBURG, Va. - Bridgewater women's track & field put up strong marks at the inaugural EMU Invite at the new track facility Friday.
Four individual title wins were claimed in the EMU meet along with record-breaking performances throughout the day.
Olivia Crigger topped the leaderboard in the 100m hurdles running a time of 16.43. Crigger also had a second-place result in the triple jump for a final mark of 10.85m. Taylor Myers and Megan Wimmer took first and second in the 800m as Myers posted a time of 2:19.65 and Wimmer ran a personal best time of 2:24.31.Â
Destiny Joseph then ran a personal best time in the 400m hurdles running 1:13.86 and taking just shy of first place in the event. Megan Walter had a strong finish in the 200m, placing second and running a time of 27.41. Rounding out the track events, Regan Robinson finished strong in the 1500m with a personal best time of 5:14.73.
In the field, Brianna Morgan boosted past her personal best setting a new mark of 42.79m; finishing second in the hammer throw. That mark improved her fourth best mark all-time in program history. Summer Wallace then cleared the bar at a height of 1.55m in the high jump to take second individually.Â
Abby Mikolay continued to shine in the field, taking the individual title in both the shot put with a mark of 12.39m and the discus with a mark of 41.93m. Closing out the day, Jade Buckles led the way in the long jump for a final leap of 5.16m.Â
The Eagles next head to Randolph for the two-day meet on April 18-19.
