LEXINGTON, Va. - Williow Wright of the Bridgewater College equestrian team was named the ODAC Rookie of the year after her performance at the ODAC Traditional Championships, anchoring the Eagles' third place finish.

Bridgewater opened the day with two different jumping courses. Wright led BC with a score of an 85.0 while Margaret Brown and Madeleine Granger also scored for the Eagles as they sat fourth after the first course.

In the second class over fences, Wright led BC again with an 85.5. Brown and Granger scored as well for the Eagles in the second jumping course with 74.0 each to help move the Eagles into a four-way tie for second heading to the flat. 

Wright and Brown, both rookies, represented BC in the flat and scored an 81.0 and a 71.0 respectively to secure a spot on the podium for the Eagles. 

Wright was named to the All-ODAC team as well as earning rookie of the year honors as she tallied the second highest point total among all riders in the competition.
