RUSTBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College Equestrian team took down Berry 7-3 on Thursday in the opening round of the ODAC Head to Head Championships hosted by Lynchburg.

BC opened up the matchup by taking four points over fences as Willow Wright, Margartia Trukhina, Madeleine Granger and Margaret Brown all scored points for the Eagles. Trukhina's 78 led all riders to be named the Most Outstanding Performer in the event.

The Eagles clinched the meet victory by taking three more points on the flat. Brown, Wright and Trukhina all won their points highlighted by Wright's 80, good enough for Most Outstanding Performer honors in the event.

Bridgewater moves on to battle No. 1 seed and the top seed in the NCEA Single Discipline rankings, Sweet Briar, Friday at 10 a.m.
