BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College Field Hockey team will hit the road on Tuesday to take on No. 4 Randolph-Macon at 5 p.m.
The Eagles earned the No. 5 seed and are set for a rematch of a shootout thrilled in Ashland a few weeks ago. BC had a 1-0 lead at the half, but the Yellow Jackets scored two-unanswered goals to take a 2-1 lead in the fourth quarter. BC responded in the final minute as
Lexi Francis found of the back of the net to force overtime. Neither time found the back of the net in OT, and RMC prevailed in the shootout.Â
RMC has won the last two meetings with BC's last win coming on Halloween in 2023 on the road. The last four meetings between the two have been decided by one goal with the Yellow Jackets holding a 3-1 record in those contests.
