Women's Swimming Posts Strong Results in Day One at Keydet Invitational

LEXINGTON, Va. - Bridgewater women's swimming started out the first day of the Keydet Invitational with strong results Friday.

Tessa Gorby ignited a fiery competition from the women with a new team record in the 50-yard freestyle of 23.83, putting up the new ODAC top time.

Two solid finishes came in the relays. In the 200 Free relay, Gorby, Nelle Hines, McKenna Curry, and Mia Flory posted a final time of 1:39.91 for fourth place. Then, in the 400-medley relay, Grace Warren, Peyton Lawrence, Curry, and Gorby finished in fourth, for a time of 4:05.55.

Grace Warren also placed sixth in the 500 Free with a time of 5:16.07, a shy short of a season best swim from the morning session.

The women will return for the second day of the Keydet Invitational tomorrow, Nov. 15.
