SWEET BRIAR, Va. - Bridgewater College men's swimming totaled 476.6 points in a win over Hampden-Sydney hosted at Sweet Briar Saturday.
The men dominated in the pool with three event sweeps along with three gold-medal finishes for Ean Helmlinger.
In the 200 freestyle, Bridgewater placed 1,2,3 as Helmlinger posted a personal best time and the fastest time in the event (2:02.88). Andrea Cibrario (2:04.31) took second and Brian Kustowski placed third with a personal best (2:09.59).
Christian Carrol highlighted in the 50 backstroke putting up an impressive time of 28.32. Jose Urdaneta quickly followed, taking second and posting a season best, 29.61. Two additional personal best times came from Jeffrey Prevost and Gavin Senger to take 1,2 in the 50 breaststroke wiith posted times, 30.89 and 31.62.
To finish out competition, the men took home 1,2,3 in the 400 freestyle relay as Alex Bae, Thomas Rose, Eddie Klinko, and Andrea Cibrario posted a first-place result, 3:46.61.
