LEXINGTON, Va. - Bridgewater College men's swimming took fourth place at the ODAC Relays hosted by Washington & Lee. 

The Bridgewater College Eagles (BCE) finished with 241.5 points in a field of eight teams through 20 events.  

Washington & Lee put up a first-place score of 483.5 points with Lynchburg in second with 280 points and Roanoke in third with 273 points respectively. 

Notes 

• The Eagles locked in a first-place finish in the 3x50 yard backstroke relay with Christian Carroll, Zachary Erb, and Ean Helmlinger tying with Washington & Lee for a time of 1:10.93.  

• BCE placed second in the 200-yard freestyle relay putting up a time of 1:27.15 (Connor Cayer, Thomas Rose, Ean Helmlinger, and Christian Carroll). 

• The Eagles finished in third in the 200-yard medley relay right behind Roanoke for a time of 1:35.58 with swimmers Christian Carroll, Alessandro Nani, Zachary Erb, and Connor Cayer). 

• The men also had a strong time in the 400-yard freestyle relay taking second for a time of 3:13.60 (Ean Helmlinger, Christian Carroll, Thomas Rose, and Connor Cayer). 

• In the 3x50 breaststroke relay; Alessandro Nani, Jeffrey Prevost, and Zachary Erb swam a strong race, taking second for a time of 1:20.48.

The Eagles are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 19 against St. Mary's College of Maryland at home in Nininger Pool. The meet is scheduled for 1 p.m.
