YORK, Pa. - Bridgewater College men's swimming grabbed the win in the three-day Spartan Splash Invitational totaling a first-place score of 871 points Sunday.
In the final day of competition, the men had 16 individuals qualify for the finals in the night session.
Senior Ean Helmlinger won the 1650 freestyle finishing with a time of 16:33.51. Brian Kustowski took fourth in the event (17:33.64).
Freshman Christian Carroll won the 200 backstroke (1:56.06) with Andrea Cibrario placing third and Jose Urdaneta taking ninth in the event, respectively.
Four Eagles placed in the top-8 for the 200 breaststoke with Zachary Erb leading the way in first (2:01.33) and Alessandro Nani in second (2:04.34). Following that up in the event would be Jeffery Prevost (4th, 2:12.38) and Kris Shultz (7th, 2:16.46). Erb posted a third broken record in program history at the meet and set a new ODAC record for the third time over the weekend.
Sophomore Connor Cayer helped the Eagles in the finals with a win in the 100 free while also producing a new team record going 45.59 in the 25-yard pool at York College Natatorium.
Then, Bridgewater rounded out the meet with a first-place result in the 400 freestyle relay (Carroll, Cibrario, Erb, and Cayer) with a time of 3:07.57.
