LYNCHBURG, Va. - Bridgewater College men's swimming totaled 190 points in a win over Randolph at Michels Athletic Center Pool.
Sophomore Zachary Erb continued to impress, delivering two individual wins in the 100-yard butterfly and the 100 breastroke. Erb finished with a time of 52.29 in the fly and a 59.99 finals time in the breast. Erb's time in the 100 fly marked a top-five time in the conference.
The Eagles also showed out in the 200-medley relay sweeping in the event. Following up with that strong performance would be senior Ean Helmlinger in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:30.37. Bridgewater also placed 1,2,3 in the 200-freestyle relay.
Freshman Christian Carroll displayed a strong performance in the 50 free adding his first individual win to his college career with a 22.41 time.
Carroll (55.43), Helmlinger (57.04), and junior Jose Urdaneta (1:00.07) swept in the 100 backstroke. Then, freshman Brian Kustowski rounded out the day with a stellar finish in the 500 free with a time of 5:16.01, winning the event in a tenth of a second.
