BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater College men's swimming showed out at home taking a 198-40 win over Southern Virginia Friday night. 

Seven freshmen on the men's and women's side highlighted the night with individual wins. 

Notes 

• Senior Ean Helmlinger shined for the men in the 1500 freestyle as Helmlinger set the new program record in the event with a time of 17:21.32. 

• Freshman Alessandro Nani displayed strong performances and collected two individual wins in the 100 breastroke clocking a 1:07.46 time and in the 200 IM with a time of 2:19.92. 

• Freshman Alex Bae swam very well in the 100 IM taking the individual win with a time of 1:02.57. Following close behind in the 100 IM would be junior Kris Shultz taking second with a time of 1:04.11. 

• Junior Eddie Klinko marked a season best in the 100 butterfly (1:03.69 finals time) 

• Sophomore Connor Cayer and freshman Brian Kustowski took first and second in the 200 freestyle swimming a 2:02.52 and a 2:10.17. 

• The men dominated in the relays. In the 200-medley relay, the Eagles took first, second, and third. 1st (Helmlinger, Nani, Andrea Cibrario, Wyatt Wilson), 2nd (Christian Carroll, Jeffrey Prevost, Ben Beaudoin, Gavin Senger) 3rd (Jose Urdaneta, Zachary Erb, Bae, Thomas Rose)
