BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's swimming team celebrated senior day with a 190-37 win over Virginia Wesleyan this afternoon.
The 200-meter medley relay saw three Eagle teams compete against one another with the A team, consisting of
Jack Cataneo,
Zachary Erb,
Ben Beaudoin and
Connor Cayer come in first timing a 2:11.21.
Kris Schultz and
Dallas Holden took the top two spots for BC in the 200-meter free with times of 2:03.74 and 2:21.25, respectively.
Bridgewater swept the podium in the 100-meter back with
Andrea Cibrario taking first (1:01.22),
Jose Urdaneta placing second (1:04.52) and Cayer seeing third (1:08.82).
Jeffrey Prevost beat out teammate
Luke Wintersgill in the 100-meter breast claiming a top time of 1:09.30.
Tommy Ronayne competed in the 200-meter fly setting a new program best time of 2:19.83.
Travis McCauley kept the record setting streak going by claiming first in the 50-meter free with a time of 24.13.
Another program best was earned by Erb who finished timing a 2:29.06 in the 200-meter breast.
Cibrario set the fourth and final new program best as an individual competing in the 100-meter fly recording a time of 58.67 in the event.
Bridgewater's McCauley,
Thomas Rose, Ronayne and Cataneo teamed up in the 400-meter free relay team clocking new program best time of 3:49.87.
The Eagles get a brief break before heading down south to Buena Vista, Va. Friday at 7 p.m. to compete with the Knights of Southern Virginia.
