BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's swim team defeated Randolph 156-45 in a dual meet Friday evening, while also breaking three program records.
The Eagles opened with the 200 m medley relay teaming up
Kris Schultz,
Andrea Cibrario,
Connor Cayer and
Ben Beaudoin who won with a time of 1:51.10.
Tommy Ronayne swam in the 100 IM taking first place with a time of 1:01.75 earning a new program best for the event. Beaudoin and
Jeffrey Prevost finished second and third, respectively, in the event.
Ean Helmlinger set a new program best in the 400 m freestyle clocking a 4:21.80 for BC.
Bridgewater swept the podium in the 100 m breaststroke.
Luke Wintersgill clocked the top spot (1:07.94), Prevost earned the second spot (1:12.85) and Beaudoin wrapped up the trifecta (1:13.07).
To finish the evening Schultz,
Eddie Klinko Jose Urdaneta and Ronanye teamed up in the 800 m freestyle relay being timed at the 8:25.67 mark to earn a new program best.
The Eagles are right back at it tomorrow as they square off against Roanoke for a 1 p.m. start time.
