VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's swimming team picked up a 175-37 win over Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday.

The Eagles opened the day with wins in the 400 yd medley relay and the 200 yd freestyle. 

Andrea Cibrario had an outstanding meet as he was part of the winning 400 yd Medley team along with Ean Helmlinger, Eric Wilbur and Eddie Klinko. The Italian also picked up wins in the 200 yd butterfly and the 200 yd backstroke. 

Helmlinger continued his fantastic weekend adding a win in the 100 yd. Backstroke, just edging out teammate Thomas Rose for the victory.

Jack Cataneo took home the top spot in the 50 yd freestyle finishing with a time of 22.91. Cataneo was part of a podium sweep by the Eagles in the event, joined by Nate Herrman and Jonathan Taylor.

BC closed out the meet in style taking home the win in the 400 yd freestyle relay with the team of Helmlinger, Taylor Jose Urdaneta and Butler Frank.

The Eagles are back in action on Saturday Jan. 14 as they host Southern Virginia at 1 p.m. on senior day.
