LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College field hockey team concluded the fall 2021 campaign with a 3-0 loss to Lynchburg in the ODAC quarterfinals.

• Lynchburg advances to the next round of the ODAC Field Hockey Championship

How It Happened

• Lynchburg scored just over ten minutes into the game on a Jackie Lerro shot assisted by Emily Dudley
• Bridgewater held the perennial powerhouse Hornets scoreless in the second quarter to make it a 1-0 game entering the half
• Lynchburg added two more goals, both scored by Lerro, in the third quarter
• The Eagles best chance came on an Emily Tyler shot late in the fourth quarter but was ultimately saved by the keeper

Match Notes

• Tyler took the Eagles lone shot on goal for Bridgewater while Meghan Bailey added a shot for the Eagles
• Brooke Hamm totaled 14 saves in the cage bringing her career total to 222 saves, the tenth best mark for a goalkeeper in program history
• Tonight marks the final match in a Bridgewater uniform for Hamm, Claire Ashley, Caroline Quigley and Kelsey Hicks
