LYNCHBURG Va. – The Bridgewater College women's soccer team defeated nationally ranked No. 25 Lynchburg on Saturday afternoon, winning 1-0.  

 The Basics

• Final Score: Bridgewater – 1, Lynchburg – 0
• Records: Bridgewater (13-1-2, 6-0-2 ODAC), Lynchburg (12-3-0, 7-2-0 ODAC)
• This was a big game for the Eagles, as Lynchburg came into the game at first place in the ODAC, with Bridgewater in third.

 How It Happened

• The only goal of the game was scored in the 6^th minute as Skyler Daum found a streaking Ashley Sabatino down the left-wing side. Sabatino crossed a pass into the box that bounced around and found the foot of Alicia Keo to make the game 1-0.

Match Notes

• Bridgewater was on its heels in the second half of the game. They didn't produce a shot in the second half and were outshot 27-6 by games end.
• The Eagles leaned on their incredible play from goalkeeper Sydney Davis to finish off the game. Davis had 10 saves, including two immaculate sprawling saves in the 87^th minute to keep the Eagles ahead, earning her career high seventh shutout on the year.
