GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Bridgewater College men's soccer team picked up a win at Guilford, 2-1, on Wednesday evening.

 The Basics

• Final Score: Bridgewater – 2, Guilford – 1
• Records: Bridgewater (6-6-2, 2-3-2 ODAC); Guilford (5-8-0, 0-7 ODAC)

 How It Happened

• Senior Sam Franklin got the Eagles on the board in the final seconds of the first half. With just two seconds left, he netted a shot from the top of the box after the goalie came out to play the ball. He escaped the keepers attack and scored just before the final buzzer.
• Guilford tied the game at the 62:40 mark, when Logan Eure scored to make it 1-1.
• Just under 30 seconds later in the 64^th minute, Matthew Shelor scored the game winning goal for the Eagles on a pass from Luke Stubbs.

 Match Notes

• BC held a 6-2 advantage in corners, while the Quakers held a 16-11 shot advantage.
• Charles Schweinefuss made eight saves in net.
• For Shelor, this is his second game winning goal of the year, bringing his yearly goal total to three.

• Virginia Wesleyan will come to town on Saturday Oct. 23 for a senior day match up against the Eagles. Action begins at 4:00 p.m.
