Box Score SALISBURY, Md. - Salisbury made the most of its chances Sunday afternoon and defeated the Bridgewater College Eagles 2-0 in women's soccer action.
The game was evenly played with the Seagulls holding a narrow 13-9 advantage in shots. The Eagles were unable to convert on a big 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Salisbury got on the board in the eighth minute of action. Julie Dannenberg put a shot on goal that was blocked by a Bridgewater defender. The ball bounced off the defender's leg and past Bridgewater goalie Taylor Riley for the first goal of the game.
The Seagulls scored again in the 28th minute when Morgan Brasch took a crossing pass from Samantha Beck and booted the ball into the left side of the net for a 2-0 lead.
Scoring chances were few in the second half. Bridgewater best opportunity came with 17:31 remaining in the game when Sarah Conner's shot on goal was turned away by the Salisbury keeper.
With the loss, the Eagles fall to 2-2 on the season.
