Eagles, Randolph-Macon Play To 1-1 Draw

ASHLAND, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's soccer team stayed unbeaten in conference action after playing Randolph-Macon College to a 1-1 draw Saturday afternoon.

The Yellow Jackets struck first when Brock Barbeau scored off an assist from Tyler Dorr in the 28th minute of play.

Randolph-Macon held the 1-0 lead at halftime, but the Eagles scored the equalizer early in the second half on an unassisted goal by Ben Lewis in the 53rd minute of action. The goal was the fourth of the season for Lewis.

The teams then battled through 57 minutes of scoreless play as the contest ended in a draw.

Bridgewater held a slight 13-10 edge in shots. Lewis paced the Eagles with five shots, including three shots on goal. The Yellow Jackets owned a slim 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Yellow Jackets keeper Cris Lowe recorded six saves while Eagles keeper Kevin Morris finished with five saves in the contest.

The Eagles are now 2-0-2 in the ODAC and 5-3-3 overall.
