Box Score SWEET BRIAR, Va. - Krissy Snyder scored a pair of goals Wednesday afternoon to help lead the Bridgewater College Eagles to a 4-0 victory over Sweet Briar College in ODAC action.
Snyder put the Eagles on the board with an unassisted goal in the 15th minute for a 1-0 Eagles lead.
In the 36th minute, the Eagles added a goal when Jacey Kelley's shot was saved by the Vixen's keeper but Michelle Viegas cleaned up the rebound to put the Eagles on top 2-0.
Two minutes later the Eagles scored again. Mari Marotta's shot bounced off the post, but Kelley was able to knock in the rebound for a 3-0 BC lead.
Snyder scored the only goal of the second half when she dribbled down the right side and ripped a shot that hit the far post and dropped behind the goal line for the final score of the game,
The Eagles held a 39-2 edge in shots and a 4-1 margin in corner kicks.
Three BC keepers combined on the shutout. Krista Kelly played the first half while Stephanie Bebko and Taylor Riley split second-half duties. Riley recorded the lone save by a BC goalie.
The Eagles are now 9-4-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the ODAC. The Eagles return to action Saturday afternoon when they host Virginia Wesleyan, the nation's fifth-ranked team.
