FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Marymount found the back of the net in each half Saturday afternoon to defeat Bridgewater College, 2-0, at the Mary Washington Men's Soccer Classic.

The Eagles played the Saints on even terms for most of the first half as Marymount held just a 6-5 edge in shots. Meceal Getachew put the Saints on the board with a goal in the 28th minute for a 1-0 Marymount lead.

The lead remained 1-0 until the 75th minute when Henri Rivera scored for a 2-0 Marymount lead.

Marymount finished with a 15-10 edge in shots.

Bridgewater keeper Travis Morris (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) finished the contest with seven saves.

The Eagles put six shots on goal but Saints keeper Mike Madigan responded with six saves to secure the shutout.

Bridgewater, now 0-2, returns to action Sunday when it plays Mary Washington.
