LYNCHBURG, Va. - Lynchburg College scored two goals in the first half Wednesday night and that proved to be enough as the Hornets blanked Bridgewater 2-0 in ODAC action.

Lynchburg scored midway through the first half on a goal by Dessi Dupuy for a 1-0 lead. Jessica Mader scored with just four seconds left in the half, making the score 2-0.

The Hornets held a 25-12 edge in shots, including a 13-4 edge in the first half.

Bridgewater goalkeeper Mackenzie Gates (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) finished the contest with nine saves.

Bridgewater is now 6-2 overall and 1-0 in the ODAC. Lynchburg improves to 5-2, 2-0 in the conference.

The Eagles return to action Saturday afternoon when they host ODAC rival Roanoke.
