LYNCHBURG, Va. - Melanie Waters (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake Senior) and Anna Theisen (Clarksville, Md./River Hill) scored two goals each Saturday afternoon to lead the Bridgewater College Eagles to a 5-0 ODAC victory over Randolph College.

Waters put the Eagles on the board when she took a pass from Sarah Conner (Eldersburg, Md./Century) and finished with her left foot for a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute of action.

Bridgewater added its second goal in the 13th minute when Theisen beat the keeper after taking a pass for Mari Marotta (Clifton, Va./Centreville), giving the Eagles a 2-0 lead.

The Eagles put the game away with three goals in the second half.

Theisen scored her second goal in the 60th minute and Jessica Sites (Stephens City, Va./Sherando) found the back of the net less than four minutes later for a 4-0 BC lead.

Waters scored her second goal off Marotta's second assist of the game to complete the Eagles scoring.

Three keepers - Cari Hensley (Danville, Va./George Washington), Lindsey McDole Roanoke, Va./Roanoke Catholic) and Mackenzie Gates (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) - combined for the shutout with Gates recording one save.

The Eagles, now 8-3 overall and 3-2 in the ODAC, return to action Wednesday afternoon when they host Randolph-Macon. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
