BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Guilford College scored two goals in the first 10 minutes Saturday afternoon and went on to defeat the Bridgewater College Eagles, 4-1, in ODAC men's soccer action.

The Quakers scored in the eighth minute when Ethan Byrd found the net off an assist from Greg Carnovale. Less than three minutes later, Guilford made it 2-0 when Richard Page score off a corner from Freddy Gomez.

Guilford added two more goals before the end of the first half to take a 4-0 lead. Jordan Alexander scored off Carnovale's second assist and Josh Berry tallied off an assist from Kereith Pinnock.

Bridgewater played an inspired second half and outshot the Quakers 9-5. The Eagles scored when Shane O'Donnell (Waynesboro, Va./Waynesboro) beat the keeper from 20 yards out at the 57:00 mark.

The Eagles are now 2-10-2 overall and 1-4-2 in the conference. Bridgewater returns to action Wednesday when they travel to Hampden-Sydney for another ODAC contest.
