LYNCHBURG, Va. - Bridgewater College improved
to 3-0 in the ODAC on Thursday by sweeping the Randolph College
Wildcats in three sets. The Eagles won the match by scores of
25-14, 25-9, 25-16.
Ashley Scott paced the Eagles in kills with nine while Asleigh
Foor led the team in digs with eight. Foor and Tricia Davis
contributed 12 assists each while Davis and Cadie Castle each
finished with two service aces.
"Everyone saw the floor tonight and everyone
contributed and recorded some kind of positive stat in this
match," Bridgewater head coach Greg Spector said.
"Our freshmen are gaining a ton of experience in these recent
matches and that's only going to help us as we move on this season.
The deeper we can be, the better we will be."
The Eagles, now 5-7 overall and winners of three straight,
return to action Saturday when they travel to Randolph-Macon for an
important conference contest. The match is scheduled to begin at 11
a.m.
