Eagles sweep Randolph in ODAC volleyball action

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Bridgewater College improved to 3-0 in the ODAC on Thursday by sweeping the Randolph College Wildcats in three sets. The Eagles won the match by scores of 25-14, 25-9, 25-16.

Ashley Scott paced the Eagles in kills with nine while Asleigh Foor led the team in digs with eight. Foor and Tricia Davis contributed 12 assists each while Davis and Cadie Castle each finished with two service aces.

"Everyone saw the floor tonight and everyone contributed and recorded some kind of positive stat in this match," Bridgewater head coach Greg Spector said.

"Our freshmen are gaining a ton of experience in these recent matches and that's only going to help us as we move on this season. The deeper we can be, the better we will be."

The Eagles, now 5-7 overall and winners of three straight, return to action Saturday when they travel to Randolph-Macon for an important conference contest. The match is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
