BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The 2026 Bridgewater College women's volleyball season is right around the corner as the Eagles look ahead to its season-opening match on Sept. 1 on the road.  

Head coach Erin Harris and company have scheduled 26 matches including four invitationals in the 50th season of the program. The Eagles start out with a matchup with the Fighting Squirrels of Mary Baldwin in Staunton, Va. 

In the first opening weekend, the crimson and gold take on Messiah, Lycoming, Olivet and Gettysburg at the Gettysburg Battlefield Classic on Sept. 4 and 5. On the following weekend, BC will face Juniata and Stevenson on the road in a tri-match. 

To open the conference slate of matches, the Eagles are slotted to go up against the Route 42 rivals, EMU in Harrisonburg, Va., on Sept. 16. Soon after, BC will host a tri-match with Penn St. Harrisburg and Division II foe, Virginia State, on Sept. 19. 

After the fall break in October, the Eagles will host a four-team invitational in Nininger Gym featuring Stevens, Randolph and Marymount on Oct. 16 and 17.  

The regular season will wrap up with a matchup against Christopher Newport in Newport News, Va., on Nov. 7 with postseason starting on Nov. 10. Be sure to follow along throughout the season on the athletics website and social media.
