ASHLAND, Va. - Randolph-Macon College scored
three early goals Tuesday and the Yellow Jackets went on to defeat
the Bridgewater College Eagles, 5-2, in ODAC men's soccer action.
The Yellow Jackets scored three goals in the first 33 minutes
before the Eagles got on the scoreboard on Kevin Gorman's
unassisted goal.
Trailing 3-1 at the half, the Eagles gave up an early
second-half goal by Randolph-Macon's Matt Andes to fall behind 4-1.
The Eagles answered when Shane O'Donnell scored off an assist
from Zach Cundiff to make it 4-2 at the 75:00 mark.
Randolph-Macon's Thomas Eacho added a goal at the 85 minute mark
for the final margin of victory.
The Yellw Jackets held a slim 21-18 margin in shots with an 11-7
edge in shots on goal.
The Eagles are now 1-12 overall and 0-5 in the ODAC.
