Bridgewater College opened its women's soccer season
Saturday at Jopson Field with a 4-0 loss to Catholic University on
the first day of the BC Invitational.
In Saturday's other contest, Ramapo defeated Buffalo State,
3-1.
Catholic scored on its first possession of the game when Diana
Spadaro lofted a shot over the keeper's head from 25 yards
out to put the Cardinals on the board just 30 seconds into the
contest.
The scored remained 1-0 through the remainder of the first half,
but Catholic struck quickly in the second half to take control.
Caitline Brett scored two goals in the second half and Spadaro
added another goal to complete the Cardinals scoring.
