FOREST, Va. -
Corey Beshoar of the Bridgewater College men's tennis team was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's Singles Player of the Week for the second-consecutive week after his efforts over the team's spring break trip.
Beshoar shined in BC's trip to Hilton Head Island as he put up a 3-0 mark at the top spot, anchoring the Eagles in their longest win streak in over half a decade.Â
The Harrisonburg, Va. native opened the week with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over St. Vincent and followed that up with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Waynesburg later that afternoon. Although the Eagles' win streak came to an end as a team to Wilkes on Thursday, Beshoar's did not as he rolled to a 6-4, 6-1 win at the top spot.Â
Beshoar has won his last five matches and currently holds a team-best seven wins in singles play for the Eagles.Â
BC is back in action with a pair of matches this week, including a home match against Guilford on Saturday afternoon.
