HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team's historic win streak came to an end on Thursday with a 2-5 loss to WIlkes.
Wilkes opened the match by clinching the doubles point with swift wins on courts one and two. BC did gain some momentum as
Coree Nicely and
Steven Perry picked up a gutsy 7-5 at No. 3.
Beshoar and Nicely capitalized on the energy. Beshoar picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win at the top spot, while NIcely cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 6. Perry looked to keep the Eagles in it, but fell in a tight 7-5, 2-6, 6-10 battle at No. 3. WIlkes picked up winsb at No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 to secure the team win.
The Eagles return back to the Valley and then hit the road north to take on Neuman on March 12.
