How It Happened
- The Captains opened the game with multiple chances early, including one turned aside by Ashley Nau off of a penalty corner. CNU got another penalty corner after the save and capitalized as Lindsey Loar made it 1-0 for CNU four minutes in. The Captains found the back of the net on their next shot to make it 2-0, but Nau and the Eagles defense dug in for the remainder of the period highlighted by two saves by the Eagles net minder.
- CNU opened the second frame with a penalty shot early, but a save by Nau kept the score at its same 2-0 line. the No. 6 team in the land kept on the attack, but many saves by Nau continued to keep the game at the same score. CNU finally broke back into the score column as Emma Weber found he back of the cage to make it 3-0 heading to the half.
- Christopher Newport worked its way down the field to start the third frame, but three straight saves by Madalyn Miller kept the Captains out of the score column. BC played out of its own end but held string until a penalty corner led to CNU's fourth tally of the night and made it 4-0. CNU capitalized on another penalty corner late in the frame and followed with one more tally in the frame off of a rebound from a save by Miller to make it 6-0 heading to the final stanza.
- The Captains continued on the front foot in the fourth, but saves by Miller and strong stands by the BC defense kept the score the same. Bridgewater had a good offensive chance late as it got its first penalty corner of the night, but Carynn Klingler had her shot blocked up front.

- The BC goalie tandem totaled 19 saves as each Miller and Nau registers single-game marks in the program's top 10 list.
