BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater baseball grabbed the weekend series sweep against McDaniel along with a sweep in the doubleheader Sunday afternoon at home.Â
The Eagles took the first game, 7-3 and then nabbed the second game, 7-6Â in a thrilling walk-off win off a solo shot by Zack Chadwell.Â

The Eagles went on a comeback surge offensively to keep the Green Terror away from making up any serious ground. In the bottom of the third inning, BCE got the scoring going off a dialed single by Chandler Valbak to hit in Trent Holland. 1-0 was all the Eagles could muster for the next four innings. Â

MD returned the favor in the top of the fifth evening the score at one. Then, in the seventh, MD tacked on two more scored runs with a pair of singles. The next inning, the Eagles came storming back being down 3-1. Chadwell started the action with a single, scoring in Valbak. Camden Herron then knotted the game at three apiece with a ripped single down the left-field line, bringing home Jack Hayes. Â

The next inning, MD fired back again, putting up three runs with a pair of walks and a single. At six apiece, BCE headed into the ninth looking for another walk-off chance and got it. Chadwell rocketed his second homer of the game into oblivion for the 7-6 win in the second game of the doubleheader. Â
