BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Bridgewater College men's cross country team competed in the Open Men's 8k at the Paul Short Run Saturday morning. The Eagles ran in a field of almost 600 competitors coming from DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA institutions.
Gabe Miller was the first of the BC racers to finish, coming in 295th. Miller clocked a 26:53.5, a season best. Gavin Diehl clocked a 27:05.8, good for 329th. Miller and Diehl found themselves in 435th and 437th, respectively, at the one mile mark of the race. Malakai Wettig finished with a time of 24:44.7. Grayson Jacquez quickly followed, clocking a 27:49.1. Ryder Rose clocked a 28:08.2. Brandon Adamson finished with a time of 28:19.1. Kaedon Howley clocked a 28:47.3. Chris Layne and Ayden Dumas rounded out BC finishers with respective times of 30:15.2 and 30:16.6.
BC takes a two-week hiatus before traveling to Spartanburg, S.C. to compete in the Upstate Invitational, hosted by USC Upstate. The men begin racing at 9:45 a.m.
